Jerk. BUT, this is exactly why you don’t award Swift best female video, but then award Beyonce video of the year. It makes no sense. MTV only did it to give them both an award, but if Beyonce wins vid of the year, how can she lose female vid?

I blame MTV and Kanye. In his crazy mind, he probably assumed that Beyonce’s amazing video could not possibly win vid of year if it lost to Swift. By all measures of logic, he would be correct.

We used to have these exact same arguments for game of the year awards, though we didn’t expect any rapper to come on stage and steal our mics.

Fantasy Football Draft Two: Complete

This is my No. 1 league with buddies from San Francisco and college, all going at it. Even though most of them are married and in the ‘burbs, it’s amazing to get together and talk some trash, eat some Zachary’s deep dish, and draft. Highlights include Dan drafting Ritchie Menthol (Rashard Mendenhall) and Mcnany going with Brees at 5 overall. Six point passing touchdowns though… it’s why I took Brady at 9 overall (out of 10).

Not bad. I went Brady, Fitz in one and two. Came around and got Jennings. Three elite players…. no running backs. But this year is so thin, I decided to draft heavy upside with the next several picks, going with Ray Rice, Thomas Jones, Bradshaw, and Lewis. To ensure Brady I took Schaub in the eighth, and I loved the groans when two players without starting QBs realized they may have to start David Garrard. With 6 point passing TDs, that’s not what you want

Nailed it! The first draft of the weekend is over my team is rock solid. Lots of upside, minimal risk. Plus, some serious missteps by my compatriots — taking a kicker in like round 9 — opened the door for a bench full of sleepers. One more draft on Sunday and a the final draft kicks off Tuesday. They should rewrite Christmas carols for fantasy season draft day. “With the third pick of the draft, to make my team complete… DDDDEEE-AngelOOOOOOO!”

I can’t put this game down. It’s one of my favorite strategy games of all time. Madden 10 360, Madden 10 Wii, Ghostbusters, UFC Undisputed, Tiger 10 Wii… they are all just waiting for me. I’m sorry, I can’t put this down.

Unlocking every hidden vehicle is really what’s keeping me. By far the best are the Ohka Carrier plane and the Kaitan Carrier sub, both belonging to the IJN. The Ohka is a large bomber that deploys a small Ohka rocket plane. The nose is packed with explosives. When released, the pilot glides the rocket plane toward its target, takes aim, and fires the rocket. The tiny glider shoots past AA flak and explodes in glorious, Kamikaze flames.

But don’t think the Japanese limited Kamikaze attacks to the sky. No, the Kaitan is giant torpedo piloted by a man. When released, he drives it quietly beneath the waves toward American warships and triggers a giant, screen-rattling explosion. The divine wind blows, my friends.

BTW, the Kaitan was so large it also featured a small hangar that could launch a recon plane when the sub was surfaced. Sweet.

It’s hot in San Francisco today.
